    There are two things you can do when things get broken. You can either fix it, or you buy a replacement. Unfortunately, buying a replacement may be costly, so your better option would be to repair the broken part. When it comes to garage doors, hiring someone to do the job for you may also be cost prohibitive, so when I found myself in this situation, I decided to give it a try. Even with equipment that I had to rent for the repair job, the total came to significantly under the quoted repair price.

    • To straighten a rail, you need to cut them apart at the twist and hammer them back in.
    • Twisted brackets need to be straightened and reinforced so you should bolt them back into place.
    • When you lift the garage back onto the lift bucket, make sure you add a few feet to make balancing it easier.
